friday of a lifteme

on Friday November 7 the senior class went to a model refugee camp.

What struck me most about Friday was the different environment. we are all used to this perfect world at least in comparison to what we saw that day. their daily routine consists of eating beans and rice, possible rape, hot days and death. rarely do we have of of those things happen to us. at most we will see a hot day or beans and race, but it makes one appreciate more the finer things we have. like the one bedroom apartment a family might lived in.

I think that the security of the woman who work and live there. the said that there are many rapes so maybe they could work on that. maybe be provided with weapons to herd off the people who are trying to take away from the what the camp is capable of.

My Decleration of Independance

All should have equal rights.
All should have equal opportunities
drinking age is 16
Need to be 18 to drive
all businesses should provide legitimate reasons for firing
if recently married must stay so for a year without divorce
all police need hard evidence to arrest
mandatory education until age 15
No monopoly for any business
must have a value of over 200 dollars to bring to court
no noise ordinances
marijuana is legal
stem cell research is legal

What Makes an American

An American consists of many different races. He also should know how to vote if he is able to. An American is one that serves his government. Someone who understands his good luck, that he has all these opportunities to be the best. An American should be willing to represent their country.

Where i See my Government

1. I see them on the news.
2. I hear about it in a lot of rap songs
3. On the radio
4. Sometimes I feel that they are listening to my phone calls
5. I see and hear them in government class
6. I see them when I get tickets

the bigger question is where do I not see the government they are, it is everywhere. The government has become apart of every citizens daily life which I think was their goal

Why Vote

This articles makes me upset that I can’t vote myself. It is telling us how important it is that we do it. How in other countries some people are fined for not voting. How in other countries you would have to fight to get that two cents in. it is very sad that I will miss out on one of the biggest elections in history but at least it happened in my lifetime.

P.S.A Choice

Out of all the P.S.A’s that I saw I really liked the one with Ian, Ross, and John. It was funny so it kept my attention, and the premise was good so hands down I vote for this one.

My Top Issues

number one is: Abortion, I think this is one of the biggest issues that apply to the teenagers in this generation. We have the highest abortion rate so why not care. I believe in stem cell research because it helps push our people forward. The possible cure for cancer could be in this type of research.

Number two: Eco research, look at the world its falling apart. We are having inclines in temperature melting the ice burgs in both the north and south poles. Causing many animals out of their natural habitats all because we want to drive around without consequences. We need to address this issue before it’s detrimental to the human beings living in it.

Number three: the Iraq War. We have way too many troops over there that no longer need to be there. It’s very important that we don’t waste human lives on a cause that has no purpose. Or more so a better solution.

The Party i Would Join

If I could choose a party to be a part of, hands down it would be the Democratic Party. Not because Obama is in it, but because democrats are for the people and republicans are for the money. So the right and good thing to do would be to take care of others so democratic is the way to go. Republicans are not the coolest people I mean look at our OLD president…

Federalist 10

WOW!!!! Not to hate but that might have been the hardest thing I ever had to read. From the get go readings do not appeal to me, I start to daydream. I start to just read letters and not really conceive the overall idea of what I am reading. This is probably I gave up reading for pleasure a long time ago. This one was lengthy it was wordy and it felt like it was a completely different language. Two federalist parties and what not. All these big words that should come with a fat dictionary attached. Its like you stop then go then stop then go I tried miss daddy I really did I didn’t get anything out of it.

political platform

if i could create a party of my own I would create a party that was environmentally conscious, one that cared deeply about the people who were in the country, for example the working class. The name of my party would be the sentiment party and its animal would be the zebra. I think the zebra would be the best animal because it is striped, it’s mixed with two different colors like I would want my party to be mixed with different ideas.

History:
The Natural Law party is a political party that was founded on February 1992 by President John Hagelin and a group of 12 educators, business men, and lawyers. They believed that there were many problems in America that were being ignored, "due primarily to the pervasive influence of special interests" (Natural Law, Par. 2). Because of hard working petition drives, the Party was able to be placed in ballot for 32 states and ran 128 candidates. They became the first party, after the Republican and Democratic of course, to be granted as a "national party" by the Federal Election Commission, and to have their first presidential candidate to qualify for federal matching funds. Through out the years, the party spread the word more and more, and the party began to grew, they got more votes and the years passed; in 1996 the Party had qualified for the ballot in 48 states and ran 400 candidates. By 1990 they had achieved the ballot access in all 50 states. But in 2000, the Party failed against the Reform Party; they lost most of their votes and endorsers. It had weakened so bad, that sadly by 2004 the Party dissolved completely.

Slogan:
"Bringing the light of science into politics."

Site:
The Natural Law Party National Convention in the year 2000 was held on August 31st to September 2nd in the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center, a hotel in Alexandria, Virginia (Just outside of Washington D.C).

Platforms:
Some of their main issues and their envisions were in Health, they believed that every American should be ensured a long and healthy life. Economy, where no citizen has to suffer unemployment, recession, runaway inflation, or any other economic hardship. Crime and Rehabilitation, which is basically an America free of crime, where citizens live with natural and national laws, and education, they believed that our national problems lied in proper education. Some other issues are agriculture, energy and environment, strengthening democracy, abortion, foreign policy, defense, gun control, capital punishment, etc...

Famous Candidate:
One famous candidate was the President and creator of the Party, John Hagelin. He was obviously one of the main persons that supported the Party; he was a world-reowned quantum physicist and educator. He supported the party and tried to introduce cost effective, prevention-oriented solutions into America's pressing problems.
